Müüa haruldane Volvo 244 DLS. DLS mudelit toodeti eritellimusena 1000 ringis Ida-Saksamaale. 244 DLS erines tavalisest 244 mudelist oma esiosaga, mis sarnanes Volvo 264 mudelile.Ida-Saksamaal oli Volvo 244 DLS pigem staatuse sümbol kui lihtsalt auto. 40 000 Saksa marka oli meeletu summa ning neid pakuti alguses eelkõige kuulsustele, arstidele, kunstnikele, professoritele, juristidele jne. Berliinis tekkis DLS-idega isegi nali: nende numbrimärgid algasid sageli IBM, mida inimesed tõlgendasid kui „Ich bin Millionär“.
Kuna DLS mudel elab paljude Ida-Saksamaalt pärit inimeste mälestuses, kui ühe esimese lääne mudelina, siis on sellele pühendatud ka oma kommuun: https://www.volvo244dls.de/
Sealses registris on mainitud 60 alles olevat autot. Kui paljud nendest tänavakõlbulikud on ise küsimus.
Masin on jõudnud Ukrainast sõja tõttu Eestisse, ühe entusiasti käest teisele. Auto ei ole täiesti originaal seisundis. Tehtud on värvi ja keretööd. Samuti asendati tavapärane 2.1l mootor kapitaalremondi läbinud 2.3l mootoriga 20tuh. km tagasi. Sisemuselt on vahetatud istmekatted. Originaal DLS märk oli puudu ja asemele pandi tavaline 244DL tähis. Kere on endiselt üks tuhandest.
Tegu on ideaalse hobiautoga, millel on tugev haruldus element. Sõiduk töötab ideaalselt ja tehtud on palju. Ülevaatuse läbimisega probleeme ei ole.
