The new Toyota Yaris Cross will arrive in Estonia soon
Toyota's compact bestseller, the Toyota Yaris Cross, has undergone a comprehensive update, bringing a refreshed design and improved driving dynamics. Pre-orders for the new model have already started, and the vehicle will arrive in Estonia this autumn.
Produced in France, the Yaris Cross continues to embody the core values of the Yaris family: smart design, innovation, efficient use of space, advanced powertrains, and high safety standards. As one of Europe's best-selling compact SUVs, it is perfectly suited to European lifestyles. More than 200,000 Yaris Cross vehicles were sold across Europe last year.
The latest updates follow Toyota's Kaizen philosophy of continuous improvement, ensuring that the Yaris Cross remains a highly competitive and desirable choice in the B-segment SUV market.
Refreshed Exterior Design
Toyota has given the Yaris Cross a more confident appearance, focusing on a redesigned front end that helps it stand out even more in urban environments.
The new signature front grille features a bold honeycomb pattern finished in body color, creating a seamless and modern look. A black lower section and wider wheel arch extensions emphasize the SUV's robust stance.
Redesigned LED headlights provide a sharper appearance and now include integrated daytime running lights as standard equipment.
The color palette has also been expanded with two new shades. The deep and distinctive Precious Bronze is available exclusively as a two-tone option with a contrasting black roof and pillars. Meanwhile, the expressive Celestite Grey replaces the previous Shimmering Silver color.
GR SPORT
Inspired by the world championship success of Toyota Gazoo Racing, the Yaris Cross GR SPORT offers exclusive styling, interior details, and a retuned suspension setup for a more engaging driving experience.
A unique front bumper design enhances the vehicle's sporty and technical character, while details in the lower corners emphasize its wide and athletic stance. Special 18-inch machined alloy wheels complete the look.
Inside, exclusive suede-like sports seats with grey upholstery and red stitching provide enhanced lateral support while maintaining everyday comfort. GR logos appear on the front headrests and steering wheel, while special GR SPORT trim details are featured throughout the cabin.
The Yaris Cross GR SPORT is available exclusively with front-wheel drive (FWD) and the Hybrid 130 powertrain. Standard equipment includes a JBL premium audio system, head-up display, Blind Spot Monitor, and Adaptive High-Beam System.
Front-Wheel Drive or Intelligent AWD
At the heart of the new Yaris Cross range is Toyota's Hybrid 130 powertrain, available with either front-wheel drive (FWD) or intelligent all-wheel drive (AWD-i) for added confidence and stability.
Introduced to the Yaris Cross lineup in 2024, the Hybrid 130 system delivers smooth and responsive acceleration while maintaining Toyota's renowned fuel efficiency and low emissions. The system produces 130 hp (96 kW) and 185 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0–100 km/h in 10.7 seconds.
CO₂ emissions range from 99–115 g/km, while combined WLTP fuel consumption is between 4.4 and 5.1 l/100 km (preliminary figures).
A Genuine Urban SUV
Designed for city life as well as longer journeys, the Yaris Cross combines efficiency with the practicality and comfort expected from a true SUV.
A smart interior layout creates a practical and versatile cargo area suitable for everyday needs as well as leisure and travel equipment. Depending on trim level, the vehicle features 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats, allowing flexible configurations for passengers and longer cargo items.
Since its launch in 2021, the Yaris Cross has continuously evolved based on customer feedback and changing needs, helping strengthen its position within the segment.
One of the key upgrades introduced with the second-generation model in 2024 focused on reducing noise and vibration through enhanced insulation against road, wind, and engine noise.
The 1.5-litre Hybrid 130 powertrain, featuring a more powerful electric motor-generator, was also introduced at that time. Its smooth operation is supported by precise handling thanks to the benefits of Toyota's GA-B platform, including a low centre of gravity and highly rigid body structure.
Technology and Safety
The Yaris Cross has always offered a rich combination of connectivity, infotainment, and safety technologies. Toyota T-Mate driver assistance and safety systems, including Toyota Safety Sense, provide added convenience and peace of mind.
Equipment highlights include Toyota Smart Connect cloud-based navigation and wireless smartphone integration through both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
On higher trim levels, customers can also choose SakuraTouch, an innovative material made from more than 40% plant-based PVC derived from by-products of the wood pulp industry. The material also incorporates recycled PET and cork waste from the wine industry without compromising durability.
All specifications and figures are preliminary and subject to final homologation.
The new Yaris Cross is available for pre-order now, with prices starting from €24,900. Deliveries to dealerships are scheduled for this autumn.
