KGM Torres gains popularity with business customers: Terminal takes delivery of eight hybrid SUVs
Topauto has handed over eight KGM Torres hybrid SUVs to fuel company Terminal, whose staff will use them for work trips across Estonia.
The delivery continues an existing partnership between the two companies. Terminal chose the Torres for its space, the ability to cover part of its driving on electric power alone, and its long warranty.
Prices for the hybrid KGM Torres at Topauto start from €31,490.
Why the Torres
According to Kristjan Kirsimäe, Head of Operations at AS Terminal, three things decided the choice: the car's qualities, the option to cover part of the driving on electricity alone, and a solid, long warranty.
"The Terminal team's daily work takes us all over Estonia, and that calls for cars that can keep up with our pace. We chose the KGM Torres above all because it is spacious, practical and ready for both longer trips and everyday tasks," Kirsimäe explained.
The dealer's view
Aivar Kägu, Chairman of the Management Board of Topauto, who handed the cars over to Terminal, said the Torres is a new and increasingly popular KGM model that has found buyers among both companies and private customers.
"The Torres is a pleasant surprise in terms of driving characteristics and equipment, and its price-to-quality ratio is well balanced. It is a spacious, economical and fairly large urban SUV with not many competitors in its class," Kägu commented.

Worth knowing
KGM is the former SsangYong. The brand was renamed after South Korea's KG Group took over the manufacturer, and the Torres was the first model to carry the new name into Europe.
The Torres Hybrid is a full hybrid, not a plug-in. The battery cannot be charged from a socket, and at 1.8 kWh it is small, so long distances on electricity alone are not possible. In town and at lower speeds, however, the car runs on its electric motor much of the time. The hybrid system was developed together with BYD, which also supplies the battery technology.
For a company fleet, the main advantages of the hybrid are lower fuel consumption in urban driving and lower CO₂ emissions, which in Estonia also affect the motor vehicle tax. According to the manufacturer, boot space is the same as in the petrol version.
