Top 10 Cars with the Highest Registration Fees in August: Chevrolet Corvette Leads at €16,107
In August, Estonian car owners paid a total of €6.36 million in registration fees, with the highest fee of €16,107 going to a Chevrolet Corvette. Of the total €6,360,544, €3,454,620 came from 3,284 first registrations and €2,905,924 from 4,886 ownership changes.
August's top ten vehicles by registration fee are dominated by large and powerful cars, as the registration fee depends, among other things, on the vehicle's weight and CO₂ emissions. American cars also stand out: the Chevrolet Corvette and Chevrolet Tahoe took the first two places, and the Dodge Charger came fourth. Its engine has no turbocharger, which makes the driving experience especially sharp and direct. The Porsche 911 GT3's registration fee came to €8,165.
Seventh place goes to the Land Rover Range Rover, the British luxury SUV that combines off-road capability with executive comfort. Its registration fee was €8,115. Eighth place was taken by another Porsche, this time the Panamera GTS. It is a luxurious four-door model that delivers sports-car performance while remaining a practical family car. The Porsche Panamera GTS's registration fee reached €7,735.
Ninth place went to the Porsche Cayenne, one of the brand's best-known models and a popular choice in Estonia for years. Its registration fee was €7,135. Tenth is the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+, a four-door model offering sports-car acceleration while seating the whole family, making it suitable for both daily driving and longer trips. Its registration fee came to €6,596.
Overall, August's figures clearly show that the highest registration fees go hand in hand with large and powerful vehicles.
