Kia has expanded its Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) lineup with the launch of the innovative PV5 Crew Van. This new and flexible solution enables both passenger and cargo transport in one vehicle. Based on the PV5 Cargo Long model, the Crew Van allows a quick, tool-free transition between crew and cargo configurations, offering businesses maximum convenience and efficiency.

The PV5 Crew Van is part of Kia’s Made-In-Plant strategy, where vehicle conversions are carried out directly at Kia’s factory. This partner-developed approach delivers factory-integrated solutions and unprecedented levels of customization. The PV5 Crew Van is designed for businesses that need an adaptable vehicle for frequently changing daily tasks.
A seat lever system allows switching from a two-seat cargo layout to a five-seat passenger configuration in just seconds with a single motion. One lever movement releases the backrest, tilts the seat cushion, and slides the partition. This ingenious mechanism requires no tools and causes no downtime.
The vehicle features a dedicated L-track system for securely fastening cargo and equipment. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, including construction, maintenance and repair, landscaping, and airport services. Additional features include innovative and easily accessible Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) outlets in the cargo area and a durable anti-slip floor, making loading safer and more convenient.
As part of Kia’s flexible conversion program, the PV5 Crew Van offers a fully integrated factory solution, complemented by additional configurations tailored for local markets. These allow vans to be converted into crew vehicles with fixed passenger layouts or adapted from existing vehicles.

Built on award-winning solutions
The new PV5 Crew Van builds on the proven and award-winning engineering of the PV5 Cargo Long, which was named International Van of the Year 2026, and is based on Kia’s advanced E-GMP.S platform. This electric modular architecture supports durability, flexibility, and advanced connectivity, including seamless integration with modern fleet management systems.
The flexible cargo area length ranges from 1,278 mm in five-seat configuration to 1,965 mm in two-seat configuration. Cargo volume increases from 2.4 to 3.7 cubic meters depending on layout, offering best-in-class spaciousness.
The PV5 Crew Van is equipped with a 51.5 kWh battery, delivering an estimated all-electric range of up to 283 km. Maximum payload capacity is 625 kg. Charging performance is equally impressive, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes using a DC fast charger.
Production of the PV5 Crew Van will begin on April 30. Market launch timing will be announced soon. The PV5 Crew Van once again reinforces Kia’s position as a pioneer in sustainable and forward-thinking mobility solutions.
